Shop Open by Appointment Only

As we continue to practice social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic, for the safety of our staff and customers, the shop is open by appointment only. We continue to serve our customers in all capacities, but we need to reduce traffic into the shop. Please call or text us at (352) 288-9905, or email us at nate@transitionwatersports.com to schedule an appointment. We are fully stocked with gear and are happy to meet with you for your boat servicing or sales needs!

MEET THE TEAM!
In our new Meet the Team series, we will introduce you to some of our great team members each month.  Say hello to Victoria, Jay and Kaleigh!

Victoria Hoefly, Receptionist
Please join us in welcoming Victoria Hoefly to the team! Victoria recently joined TWS as our receptionist, so customers will have the pleasure of meeting her when calling or visiting the shop. Victoria was born in Louisiana but has been in Florida for the last nineteen years. She is very close to her parents and her five siblings. On a day off, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, often out on Lake Weir. Victoria’s two cats, Ava and Little Boy, keep her company at home, where she enjoys listening to country music, watching The Bachelor, or enjoying her favorite food: Mexican! As a child, Victoria wanted to be a flight attendant when she grew up, which is understandable as she has traveled extensively. So far, she loves Switzerland the most and has Peru on her list of places to go in the future. Not one to shy away from adventure, Victoria enjoys scuba diving and plans to add sky diving to her hobbies. ⠀

Victoria says the thing she loves most about her job is the people she works with, and we can say the same thing! Welcome, Victoria!
Jay Easley, Appearance Technician

Jay has been with TWS for five years. He is a master at restoring gelcoat and can have your boat looking brand new again. Jay enjoys being able to work independently in his job since his pet peeve is people who talk too much! Jay was born in Illinois and moved to Florida in 1977. He is the son of a coal miner and has two sons, and a daughter who is a two-time breast cancer survivor. Jay is a passionate supporter of breast cancer awareness. When he’s not relaxing at home listening to his favorite bands, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet, Jay enjoys horseback riding and golfing. Jay is a self-proclaimed horseman– he can teach anyone to ride and can break-in any kind of horse.⠀

Kaleigh McKinney, Administrative Assistant
Kaleigh’s parents are from Alabama and Georgia, but she was born and raised in Florida. She has a 12-year-old son who loves sports, especially football and baseball, and 3 brothers, a sister, 4 nephews, and 1 niece. When she isn’t working, you’ll find Kaleigh saltwater fishing the flats in the Gulf for Redfish, Sheepshead, Trout, etc. She enjoys any water sport/activity. She plans to master wakeboarding by the end of this summer. Kaleigh's family has an 8-month-old Bassett hound, Bingo, that likes to chew up her things (and only hers,) and 2 Cockatiels, Stark and Pepper that were named after Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, the power couple from the Marvel Superhero movies. Kaleigh has been with TWS for two years. She loves the atmosphere at TWS, and the relationships she has with our team and with our customers.

Kaleigh says, “We all share a common interest and passion for being on the water, it keeps us all connected in a unique way.”  Well said, Kaleigh!⠀

COVID-19 GUIDELINES FOR SAFE BOATING:
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has issued new guidelines for boaters to follow in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Recreational vessels should not come with 50 feet of other vessels or carry more than 10 people at a time. Tying up, anchoring up with or beaching in close proximity of other vessels is prohibited. These regulations do not apply to mooring fields, marinas or permanently installed slips.
